Very disappointed.. paid extra for honey garlic ribs.. totally dry .. not saucy like they normally are.. call to tell them and got an I’m sorry. … I even said I would bring them back but they said that’s the way they are now.
Asked them specifically for chicken noodles and strictly no pork. They made me shrimp noodles. The noodles were bland in taste nothing chinese about the place or food.
I hadn't ordered from here in years. When my usual place was closed, I gave Gold City another shot. Gold City is now my new go-to. Way better than I remember.
Solid Chinese food spot for lunch, probably the best one in Milton compared to the other options. Be aware it’s takeout so don’t expect indoor seating, aside from that they only took 5 minutes to get my food ready which is impressive for the quality. The chicken balls are fresh and cooked nicely, the sweet and sour sauce is the highlight, and the fried rice was better than i expected.
This is my go to place for lunch. It’s around the corner and convenient. Walk in and the family is sitting down for lunch and it smelt real good!!!!. I usually get the lunch special, which I can eat for two days. However? Feel a cold coming on, so I got the hot and sour soup and a spring roll. Bill was $10 including tip. Spring roll was hot, lite and crispy, think there’s water chestnut and water crest in them. Both tasted homemade and was ready in 5min. Excellent!!! Feeling better already. Next time I’ll ask if they can cook me up a fish like the one that they were enjoying for lunch, yummy!!!
Thoroughly disappointed with customer service, food quality and taste. This, especially considering how high the restaurant ranks in reviews. Most troubling was the staff and owner having no regard for my personal health exemptions. Will not be returning to this business.
Quality chinese food, always fresh, friendly service. Been in Milton for 30 years and we've always come here.
I paid cash and accidentally gave the girl an extra $20. She was honest, and returned it immediately. Then the older lady started scolding her in Chinese for giving me my money back. Never going back..
I decided to take out food for a family of 5. While we were eating we spotted cooked fly in our food. The next day when I repoxrted this to restaurant and ask for a refund, the management was upset that why I didn't report the previous night. Also the rude Jennifer asked me not to come again.Not sure what made her to think that i will ever come back but I do not plan to eat from a restaurant that had previously cooked fly in my food.Read other reviews where people have reported bugs.
Best Chinese food in Milton and very friendly staff! We tried a different place recently and it made me instantly regret not ordering from our go-to.
I went in for the lunch special today and the place was packed. It's a really good value - put it this way, I'm stuffed. At $7 yeah you get a lot of rice but the rice is tasty - there are bits of chicken and veggies in it too. You also get your choice of soup as an appetizer and the hot and sour soup is pretty good. The Dark Horse about this little restaurant is the hot sauce they leave on the tables. It's simply delicious - really spicy, not that salty, but there's also little little hint of sweetness in it too. I put it on everything! The bean sprouts in the chop-suey are nice and fresh and crunchy. You only get three chicken balls in the chicken ball lunch special but what do you want for seven bucks? It's funny because Milton is getting a little chi chi and a lot of lunch specials I've given 5/5 here in Google Reviews don't even exist anymore. Yeah and I'd have to agree with other posters here - the owner could be a little bit friendlier as this is a hospitality business, as in HOSPITABLE... after all.
My family has been going here for years and we've definitely noticed that although the prices continue to increase the quality of the food has not. Many dishes are loaded with huge pieces of onion that no one is likely to eat, chicken balls are about 1/4 chicken and 3/4 breading. Spare ribs are mainly inedible fat, cartilage and bones. Food in general is very hit or miss these days.
