Worst place to bring your scrap metal 20 minutes away .you get almost twice the money.much friendlier staff.alot cleaner dumping sites.message me for new better place
Dropped a load of aluminum off today, knowing that Moffitt has been good on rates in the past I just dumped it then went to the office to find out they were giving me 20 cents a pound on aluminum! Totally unacceptable as going rate minimum is more than double that anywhere in Halton or Peel region. Next three loads will be going elsewhere.. do your homework before hand, as it seems whoever can squeeze you for whatever they can is becoming the new normal nowadays.. even on the companies we've been trusting for decades!
Dropped off a scarp car and lots of other metal, didn’t even give me 200$. They pay the absolute least per pound for scrap metal. This place and their pricing is a joke. You’re better off, going to any other scrap yard.

I dropped of 80 POUNDS of aluminum for which they paid me $16 dollars!!! This is essentially 0.20 cents per pound and I've never seen prices like this... I recently got paid $1.15 per pound at another place in Barrie so I have no idea how this place decides their pricing - it's an absolute rip off! This is apparently because "there are screws on the aluminum"... which I have also never heard before when bringing in scrap aluminum. Save your time and go anywhere else.
The ladies at the service desk were so kind and helpful as were the guys working in the yard. They even let me watch my car get smashed up and taken away! Overall they provided an easy and positive experience with discarding my retired vehicle.
Good scrap yard been here a couple times. Never had an issue. Came today though and they said they're open until 12:00. I came at 11 and they were closed Edit this has happened 3 times since I never deal with this place anymore. EDIT 2 - owner if your claiming your open after all these months of I tried 3 times more and it was same result on Saturdays u always shut it down early. Change your hours to reflect that if I were you you'd stop loosing peddlers but I'm done with this place
