I recently had an excellent experience at Red Wing in Milton. I visited the store to return a pair of boots that were the wrong size from the Mississauga location. I was initially hesitant to come back, but Todd, the salesperson, completely changed my mind. He was exceptionally patient and took the time to walk me through different sizing options. He even performed a foot scan to ensure the best fit. Even gave me other store options to help suit my size .Thanks to his help, I now have the right size and no longer experience any foot pain during my work shifts. I highly recommend visiting the Milton store — the service and attention to detail were outstanding
I went into the Milton location (9020 Louis St. Laurent Ave) a few weeks ago from my hometown in Niagara, and told Todd upon my entrance that I could not afford the boots at the time. But, that I had heard such great things about Red Wing boots, and while I was constantly chewing through my work boots in construction, I had to come check these out, in hopes that they would become my go to boot. He gave me more than an hour of his time, including the scanning and examination of my feet, walk and posture. We decided on 2 pair that would work best for me. One was the Supersole 2.0 and the other the TruGuard 3590. I told Todd at that time how impressed I was with his care for finding me the right fit, and the dedicated 1-1 service. He did not leave me to look around and find my own boot and size. It really felt like he cared about my order personally. It was the best shoe/boot service I had ever received. I took a few weeks to decide and save up a few bucks and chose to go with the TruGuard 3590, as well as a leather care package and 4 pair of socks (buy 3 get one free). I placed the order via email with Krissy, Todds wife and Co Owner on Thursday morning. Krissy put the package together for me, I e-transferred the funds to her and she provided me a Canada Post tracking number by that evening, with delivery scheduled for the following Monday according to Canada Post tracking. Unfortunately Thursday night Canada Post went on strike. I was unaware of this until Saturday morning when I was in bed reading the news. I checked my tracking number on Canada Posts website and was not surprised to find that my boots weren’t coming anymore. So in a desperate email to Krissy on Saturday morning, I pleaded my case to cancel the order, asking instead if I could travel there that same day from Niagara, re-purchase everything in store, and when the strike ends, I would return the first order back to them, as I needed the boots for the following week. It was a Hail Mary email, I didn’t expect much of a response. Well the response I got was shocking and amazing and so wholesome. The following is the email response I received from Krissy: Good morning Dean, Oh, Canada Post. Always keeping us on our toes. So, I had dropped off the parcel on Thursday evening to only find out the next morning Canada Post went on strike. I sent my husband back to Canada Post in the morning to try and retrieve the parcel back. Luckily, we managed to get it back. Todd sent it with UPS yesterday. Here is your new tracking number xxxxxxx I checked and it is in transit scheduled to arrive on Monday Sept 29th. Thanks for your patience, Kind regards, Krissy THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! THEY DID THIS FOR ME BEFORE I HAD EVEN REALIZED A STRIKE HAD HAPPENED!!! This is such great customer care. Thank you so much guys. I cannot overstate how thoroughly impressed I am with these two wonderful people. I have had an incredible experience with both Todd and Krissy for different reasons and I wish them nothing but success and happiness with their business endeavour. If you are looking for work boots, or any boot / shoe in general I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to see Todd and Krissy. They are salt of the earth folks who really clearly care. Bought a pair of super soles 2.0 today and the customer service was incredible Todd was very helpful and knowledgeable, I would highly recommend this store to anyone
I am a Red Wing fanatic. I wanted to find the sized 6 D Red Wing 8089 Iron Rangers which was next to impossible to find based on the size. Chrissy searched high and low and made it happen within a 24 hour time span. Initially she thought it may not be possible, however she was persistent and found one of the last pairs. They were at the shop less than week later and the whole experience was top right from the first phone call, to getting them in store. The store itself is lovely and I cannot recommend them enough for your Red Wing purchases.
This is how buying work boots should be, an amazing experience, Todd was very helpful and knowledgeable. Having your feet measured and tested lets you know the pressure points and your true shoe size. I would recommend all trades workers to give this place a shoot. They are knowledgeable, understanding and friendly.
Have known the owners personally and professionally for decades. Great people who care about the overall experience and making a difference in people's lives. Love my Red Wing shoes!
