The chicken was SO good, especially with that flavourful piri-piri sauce. The rice was also well seasoned and I finished every grain of it. I love fries so they were an okay addition to the meal. It was a generous portion which could have easily had leftovers for a second meal, but it didn't stand a chance! I wish there were some sweet treats to try as well, but nonetheless I'd 100% go back.
This place has been on my list of restaurants to try and without any doubts this is my new spot to come back to. From a clean and homey feel to the restaurant it’s self, family owned! The staff were amazing, polite, friendly, and also great conversation on this gloomy Sunday. They really made it feel like you were seated at their table at home. And now some of the best sea food appetizers I’ve ever had outside of Europe… I will most definitely be returning on a regular basis! Here were the dishes me and my husband ordered. 10/10!!!!
We ordered the mussels and the shrimp appetizers and I had the Francena sandwich and my wife had the piri piri Chicken. Then we had the chocolate mousse for dessert and the caramel drool and everything was incredible. I cannot rave enough how much the food was amazing and fresh as well as extremely flavourful!! If you’ve not been here do yourself a favour and come as it’s by far the best restaurant in Milton and one of the best dinners I have had in recent memory.
The bacalhau was pretty tasty, but me and my friend thought it was a bit too oily. The friend that ordered the picanha loved it. The server couldn't answer some of our questions about the menu, but he was friendly.
It’s worth coming here just to have the delectable appetizer of sautéed garlic shrimp! But we also had the sea bass and the piri piri chicken, and they were delicious. Hearty servings, too, we took some home with us.
I was hoping that this place would be a hit, but was let down. I ordered the carne porco alentjana and when it was brought to the table I noticed that it was almost all potatoes and pickled veg. There were 4 little pieces of pork. What a let down. I figured to give them a try since it's a new restaurant I didn't think that they would do that to new customers. But it seems like a common thing from reading the other reviews. As a new restaurant you should try to impress your new customers and not let them down nor disappoint them. Being overcharged for a dish with barely no meat isn't a good way to start your business.
I can’t say enough good things about this incredible Portuguese restaurant in New Milton. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth, charm, and that unmistakable aroma of home-cooked Portuguese food. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with beautiful touches that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a little corner of Lisbon. The staff are friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Now, the food—absolutely outstanding. The Seabass was cooked to perfection, delicate and flavorful with just the right balance of seasoning and a generous dish that could easily rival anything you’d find along the coast of Portugal. Don’t skip the starters—especially the garlic Shrimp and make sure to leave room for the traditional deserts, which were heavenly. Every bite felt like a celebration of tradition and taste, and you can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. Whether you’re Portuguese and missing a taste of home, or new to the cuisine and looking to be impressed, this place delivers in every way. Truly a standout restaurant in the area—I’ll be back again and again.
